Description

This 4 bedroom apartment is located in the sought after neighbourhood of Eixample, placing you in the heart of Barcelona. The property is in a building dating back to 1910, making it the perfect balance between traditional style and avent-garde comforts. With WiFi connection available and air coniditioning, it is the perfect place to spend a few months in the Catalan capital.... 

As soon as you entre the apartment you will find a small reading corner with an exposed brick wall. Additionally, throughout the apartment there are visible elements which reflect the modernist era that Barcelona experienced, such as the hydraulic floors, Catalan vaults or mouldings, and orginal carpentry from that era.

The living room features 3-metre-high ceilings. It is a cosy space with lovely sofas and a coffee table, making it a truly relaxing area. This space also connects to the kitchen-diner, where you will find a TV, dining table, and breakfast bar. From here, you have access to the balcony, which lets natural light into the room.

With regards to cooking in the apartment, the kitchen is fully equipped, complete with a microwave, oven and coffee maker, among other utensils that you may need during your stay.

The property has 4 bedrooms, each offering sufficient storage space for your belongings. In addition, there are two bathrooms in the apartment. One of them is complete with a shower and toilet, while the other has seperate facilities for showering and using the toilet.

Eixample is a highly sought after location due to its friendly atmosphere and close proximity to the city centre. The iconic Plaça d´Espanya is located just a 12-minute walk from the property, where you will find the Arenas Shopping Centre, which is perfect for a wonderful day of shopping. Additionally, thanks to the good public transport services you can reach Plaça de Catalunya in less than 10 minutes via the metro, which gives you access to the infamous Las Ramblas and Passeig de Gràcia. Moreover, you will find many shops, restaurants and bars close to the apartment, making your everyday life even easier.

Eixample is Catalan for 'extension', meaning an extension of the old Barcelona city. Eixample was designed by Catalan-born urban planning visionary, Ildefons Cerdà, who took traffic and sunlight (amongst many other things) into consideration when creating the plans for this new district.... 

Eixample is now characterised by its octagonal blocks and its grid-like pattern, with wide streets and both commercial and residential areas. It is split into two parts, Eixample Esquerra (Left, or in Spanish, Izquierdo) and Eixample Dret (Right, or in Spanish, Derecho), both of which are home to some fantastic restaurants and stores.

Eixample Izquierdo is delimited by the grand, Passeig de Gràcia, a paradise for shopping and dining, and Plaça d'Espanya, where the Montjuïc Magic Fountain and one of the biggest convention centres in Barcelona can be found. The Parc de Joan Miró, with its iconic 'Woman and Bird' sculpture created by the Barcelona-born artist, is also situated here, as well as the Arenas shopping centre, which was once a bull-fighting ring.

Thank you for a lovely stay. The hosts make check in as easy as possible and always reply within the hour. The apartment is as described, and was clean on arrival. We had to change Airbnb’s last minute due to a plumbing issue and stumbled across AB Apartment. Their customer service team was so helpful in accommodating our reservation. The apartment was beautifully designed, with a great split layout for multiple couples. The bedrooms were comfortable and provided everything we needed. Entry was made very easy with a mobile app as well as physical keys. Great neighborhood with 24-hour market downstairs, a farmacia, and tons of great places to eat. We took advantage of the iron, dish water, washing machine and stove - all worked perfectly.
