The neighborhood of Poble Sec was the first extension built outside of Barcelona's historic city centre. Located at the base of Montjuïc, this neighbourhood has great access to all of the attractions on the hill, such as Poble Espanyol and many more museums....
The main avenue of Poble Sec is Avinguda Paral·lel, which has been one of the principal areas for activities and leisure since the end of the 19th century. This avenue is home to much of Barcelona's nightlife with bars and clubs dotted along the street, including the popular Sala Apolo. The location is great; easy to find, with the metro at the doorstep, sagrada familia just a short walk away, plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, cafe and for those who do not want to walk, a taxi to Placa Catalunya only cost about 7 euro. There were 4 of us so it is cheaper for us to do that. 10 mins walk to the flea market.
The house is clean, the washing machine worked well, the shower is great. Having 2 full bathrooms was great. The staff of AB Marina and concierge were very responsive and helpful.

This apartment is in a great location, a few minutes walk from Sagrada Familia which you can see from the balcony and rooftop, also right by Monumental metro station enabling easy access to the rest of the city. The apartment itself was very clean and we were provided with soap/shampoo etc so you don't need to take or buy your own.
This was the 2nd time we've stayed in this apartment block and would happily stay there again.
Communication with the hosts was exceptional, including very fast responses on a Sunday evening...nothing seemed too much trouble.
All in all a great base to explore the city.
