At the northern end of Avinguda Diagonal, you will find the residential district of Diagonal Mar, located right on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. This district is one of the newest additions to Barcelona, having been opened in 1990 and further developed for the 2004 Universal Forum of Cultures.
