Description

This modern 3 bedroom apartment in Eixample is perfect for up to 5 guests. Without doubt, being so close to the centre of the city, the location of this apartment is a big bonus. Furthermore, with WiFi and air conditioning, there are many commodities here in the apartment to make sure that you have a memorable stay.... 

There is a open plan living space, where you will find the living, diner and kitchen. All of which are divided by partitioning walls, which allow for lots of natural light. In the living space, you will have a TV, sofa and dining table to use after a long day of exploring. As for the decoration, this whole space has white, grey and wooden features that give the apartment a contemporary feel.

The fully equipped kitchen is located behind the TV and bookcase. It is another modern space that gives you everything you will need throughout your stay. Other than the essentials, there is a kettle, toaster and cafeteria, which are perfect for sorting out your breakfasts before a busy day in Barcelona. This area of the apartment also has the same décor and some metallic touches.

With 3 bedrooms, you and your guests will be able to have their own space to relax in. The main bedroom is a double bedroom, made up of two single beds joined together and with its own balcony. The second bedroom also has two single beds and its own balcony, giving both rooms lots of light. As for the final bedroom, there is a single bed, ideal for younger guests. All rooms are modern spaces and provide comfort for everyone in the apartment. There is also a recently refurbished bathroom, which has a tiled finish and a large walk in shower.

Being located in Eixample gives you the most central neighbourhood in the city, known for its strong transport links. As for nearby sights, there is the Mercat de Sant Antoni just a 11 minute walk away, where you can find cheap and fresh produce. There is the Passeig de Gracia high street just a 14 minute walk away, where you will find plenty of designer shops. Lastly, there is the Plaza de Espanya a 17 minute walk away, where you can shop at the Arenas de Barcelona Shopping Mall or go the MNAC museum.

District

Eixample is Catalan for 'extension', meaning an extension of the old Barcelona city, and it is one of the most popular districts in the Catalan capital. Eixample was designed by Catalan-born architect, Ildefons Cerdà, who took traffic and sunlight (amongst many other things) into consideration when drawing up the plans of the new area.... 

Eixample is now characterised by its octagonal blocks and its grid-like pattern, with wide streets and both commercial and residential areas. It is split into two parts, Eixample Esquerra (Left, or in Spanish, Izquierdo) and Eixample Dret (Right, or in Spanish, Derecho), and is home to one of the most famous streets in Barcelona, Passeig de Gràcia, known for its high fashion stores and trendy restaurants.

The street is intersected by the long Avinguda Diagonal, which runs through the entire city.

Eixample Derecho is home to many gems of 'Modernisme' architecture, including the unique Casa Milà (La Pedrera), the colourful Casa Batlló and the towering Sagrada Familia, known as Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece. You will also find plenty of great bars and cafés here, too, and if you decide to choose one of the many Barcelona apartments in Eixample Derecho for your stay, you will be able to easily explore the city, due to the neighbourhood's convenient, central location and excellent public transportation services.  Read more

The location was excellent for Parc Guell and it was a pleasant walk into the centre. We loved visiting the nearby bunkers too. The apartment was well-equipped and comfortable and the entry system and felt very secure. We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the view and the little mini-markets nearby made self-catering easy.

We were all very impressed with the cleanliness of the apartment and surprised how well we slept. The location was fine but with an elderly mother it was a little difficult to get around with her but overall the short stay was great. We thank Eva & Jacques for their professionalism, fantastic customer service and flexibility in allowing our daughter who lives there to collect the keys and return them to save us the journey going into town on the last day. We would all welcome working with Eva & Jacques again the next time we are in Barcelona visiting and thanks again for making our trip all that more enjoyable! :)
